Thames Barrier Park in the London Borough of Newham has had a fresh new look as part of the 2021 Thames Barrier Park Improvement Works which includes Addagrip’s Stonebound resin bound porous paving for the riverside perimeter paths.
The rejuvenation has taken part in three phases to include a re-designed café terrace, pathway re-surfacing, new seating, electrical upgrades and tree planting
Surfacing requirement
As part of the scheme, the client was looking for a decorative, low maintenance, natural aggregate surface for the perimeter paths bordering River Thames.
Addagrip approved contractor Freedom Surfacing Ltd was appointed by Camway to install Stonebound resin bound permeable surfacing to create seamless walkways along the banks of the river, using a bespoke blend created especially for this scheme. Most of the green space remained accessible to the public during the period of works which started in March 2021.
The pathway installation was completed in 2022.
