Surfacing requirements
The owner of the rural property in Steyning was looking to improve the existing driveway and paved landscaping with a decorative, low maintenance surfacing option. The requirement was for a durable porous paving that would offer a seamless driveway and parking area in front of the house, terraced garden and a decorative courtyard area to complement the style of the property.
Addagrip approved contractor Resinwize Ltd was invited to install Stonebound resin bound porous surfacing creating low maintenance paving to link the areas with a bespoke blend of natural aggregates and resin.
The existing driveway was a mix of concrete, asphalt and loose gravel which needed levelling to improve drainage, so the team completed a full dig out and laid a type one MOT with a permeable C30 concrete base ready for the installation of the Stonebound resin bound permeable SuDs compliant surface.
The resin bound system offers an easy to maintain, natural aggregate paving with good slip resistance and no loose aggregate for that perfect finish.
The installation was completed in April 2022
