Resin bonded Addastone car park surfacing at Olympic venue

Addagrip approved contractor Total Protection (GB) Ltd was appointed to install 2127sqm of Addastone resin bonded gravel to match existing surfaced areas at the Lee Valley White Water Centre , a London 2012 Olympic venue which opened to the public in September 2012.

As the areas to be surfaced would be subjected to heavy vehicle use, Total Protection recommended using an aggregate with a higher PSV value to improve lifespan. The client selected 1-3mm Brittany Bronze aggregate.

Due to the nature of the contract, the deadlines for scheduling of work and ordering of materials were tight and the weather presented its usual challenges. Despite this, work was completed to schedule in November 2013.
