Addagrip approved contractor Rockstone Surfacing Ltd was invited to help out with a new resin bound driveway for this large property in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Surfacing requirement
As part of an extensive landscaping scheme for the front and back garden of this house, the owner was looking to rejuvenate the existing driveway and parking area at the front of the property with a decorative, low maintenance, permeable surface. Rockstone suggested a BBA approved Addaset resin bound porous paving system in a 6mm Maple Gold blend to offer a seamless paving that would require minimal maintenance.
In preparation for the resin bound surface, Rockstone installed a 70mm thick ac20 open graded binder base and installed the Addaset at a recommended depth of 18mm.
The finished result is a seamless, permeable SuDS compliant paving solution which offers a durable natural aggregate surface with good slip resistance and no loose stone. The paving can be easily maintained and cleaned with an occasional power wash as required.
The 220sqm resin bound installation was completed in April 2022
