Addagrip approved contractor Total Protection GB Limited installed over 5000 sqm of Addaset resin bound porous surfacing at Spitalfields Market in East London.
Surfacing requirement
The client was looking for a hard wearing, decorative paving that would withstand delivery vehicles and heavy foot traffic at one of the finest surviving Victorian Market Halls in London with stalls offering fashion, antiques and food. The surface also needed to be porous and able to withstand frequent power washing required to keep this busy area clean. Addaset resin bound permeable paving offered the perfect solution with a hard wearing, low maintenance surfacing system with good slip resistance.
For reasons of practicality, a darker aggregate blend was selected in an Addaset 6mm Trent , offering a complementary surface to the block paved sections.
The surfacing installation was completed in February 2008.
Site Visit 2023
We revisited Spitalfields Market in March 2023, 15 years after its installation, and were pleased to see the surfacing still performing well.
