Resin bound pathway to ArcelorMittal Orbit in Stratford

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park resin bound paving

Addagrip approved contractor The TP Group has been back at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London installing our resin bound permeable surfacing.
After originally working on this site leading up to the 2012 Olympics, and on several areas since, The TP Group was delighted to be asked to return to assist with the much-needed resurfacing within the Park.
Working alongside The Galldris Group, Total Protection undertook removal of the existing surface, and installation of Resin Bound Gravel on an area leading toward the iconic ArcelorMittal Orbit.

Surfacing requirement

An area of almost 2,000m2 was planed off to remove the worn out Resin Bonded surface dressing, and to provide a suitable substrate upon which to apply the Addagrip Resin Bound Gravel system. Dural’s aluminium edge detail was also installed to create 150 linear metres of required demarcations as part of the resurfacing project.
A further 1,000m2 of the new Stonebound Resin Bound Gravel in a bespoke blend created for the Park was laid onto a new macadam surface to offer a decorative, hard wearing paving to withstand the expected volumes of traffic.
To limit the number of visits required to the site, the TP Group team installed significantly large areas of paving at a time to assist with time restraints and to help achieve completion within the required timeframe.

Work was completed in August 2022.

Further work was carried out in the next phase completed March 2023
