Addaset resin bound permeable paving was the product of choice for a new furniture outlet in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
Surfacing requirements
When it came to selecting paving for the new Lucas Store in Aylesbury, the owner, Stokers Ltd, was looking for a decorative but resilient surface suitable for pedestrian traffic. At over 75,000 square feet, the site is the company’s largest, purpose-built, furniture outlet to date so the surface needed to cope with the high levels of visitors.
Addagrip approved contractor Coatech Limited was appointed by Caddick Construction to install over 600sqm of our BBA approved Addaset in a 6mm Acorn blend to the pathways around the perimeter of the building, adjacent to the car park.
The seamless natural aggregate surface is porous with good slip resistance making it suitable for pedestrians, pushchairs and wheelchairs. Addaset also offers a low maintenance paving option, requiring the occasional power wash so is perfect for retail environments.
The installation was completed in July 2020 in time for the opening in August.
