Resin bound Addaset driveway in Ascot

Addagrip approved contractor Surtees Groundwork Contractors Ltd was invited to install a lovely new resin bound porous driveway surface at this property in Ascot, Berkshire, adding instant kerb appeal.

Surfacing requirements

The client had an existing old resin bonded driveway that required an update.  They wanted to create a natural aggregate decorative paving for the sweeping approach to the house that would be hard wearing and low maintenance. Having looked at resin bonded versus resin bound options, a BBA approved Resin Bound Addaset was selected as the client liked the neat seamless finish of the bound system and the porosity of the product.

The challenge was laying 180sqm of resin bound Addaset on a hot day in July – 32 degrees – which requires both skill and speed to complete the installation without the resin going off.

The end result is a stunning new seamless driveway surface in a Maple Gold blend offering interesting contrast with the block paving in front of the property and in keeping with the style of the house.

The installation was completed in July 2020.
