Parc Eirin Residential Development

Resin bound Addaset paths for Parc Eirin housing development

Addaset resin bound surfacing has been selected to provide decorative, permeable pathways for this innovative housing development in Tonyrefail, South Wales.

Parc Eirin is a development of over 200 high quality, low carbon homes, designed with the environment in mind. The scheme uses new types of energy efficient technology including solar panels, car chargers and intelligent energy management systems.

Surfacing requirement

As part of this new development, the surfacing requirement for the pathways needed to be decorative, permeable to alleviate surface water and ensure good drainage, and low maintenance to reduce the need for cleaning.
Addagrip approved contractor Thortech Ltd was appointed by main contractor Morganstone (working for Pobl and Tirion Homes) to install over 471sqm of BBA approved Addaset resin bound permeable surfacing in an Acorn blend to the walkways of the new development. In keeping with the environmental credentials of this project, the selected Addaset system has an Environmental Product Declaration certification as well as having undergone rigorous testing by the British Board of Agrement.
